HQ How To: Prevent Allergens in Your Office Equipment

Dust and pollen and dander oh my! These common allergens are in the air and can settle in your office equipment. Here’s how to prevent the build-up

Over time, these can settle and cause the office equipment to have allergies like jams and smudges too. In this edition of HQ How To, learn how to keep your office equipment free from pesky spring symptoms.

  • Keep office doors closed. If your office equipment is in a special room or just in the general office space, try to limit the amount of exposure it has to outside air. Moisture and allergens in the air can settle inside the machine, causing issues that wouldn’t normally occur.
  • Use an anti-dust cloth when wiping down the machine. Whether you choose something like Swiffer or a microfiber rag, make sure you are taking the particles away, not putting more in!
  • Get CHQS on the job! The easiest way to make sure your machine is spick and span and free from dust is to schedule a routine maintenance call with CHQS. You can call us, chat with us below or place your request online. Our service team will come on site and do a thorough check up and cleaning as a part of any maintenance agreement!
