HQ How To: Prepare for Vacation

By May 24, 2016February 18th, 2026No Comments2 min read

With summer on the horizon, offices close for holidays, vacation days are used up, and often, office equipment upkeep is put on the back burner.

Avoid frustration by doing these three things before you go on vacation:

  • Schedule a service call: With a CHQS maintenance agreement, service calls to maintain the upkeep of your equipment are absolutely free. Our technician will do a thorough examination of your office equipment, clean the unit, and order any follow parts or supplies as necessary. By scheduling our visit before your vacation, you are assured that your machine will be in tip top shape when you return. Fill out this form to get your service call started.
  • Check your power supply: If your entire office is leaving, make sure your office equipment is plugged into an outlet with the proper voltage and protection. If you are worried about power surges, shut down your office equipment and unplug it from the wall. Your settings will not be lost when you turn it back on when you return.
  • Submit meter reads: If you know that your copier won’t be used until the next month, submit your meter reads early so you don’t get an estimated bill. You can submit them here if you’d like!

As always, CHQS is here to provide any assistance you need. If you haven’t tried out our live chat yet, try it below and get connected with our team!
