How Do I Troubleshoot a Frozen Touchscreen

By September 15, 2014February 18th, 2026No Comments1 min read

If your touchscreen is frozen or unresponsive, try power cycling your machine. How do I power cycle?

Power cycling is simply turning your machine off then back on to reset whatever process froze the equipment.

1. Power off your equipment. There is a literal button to turn it off. It is always better to shut it off then unplug the cord.

2. Unplug the unit from the wall and let it sit for 30 seconds

3. Plug the machine back in and turn the power back on. Wait for the machine to reboot. If the touchscreen is still unresponsive, please use the live chat box below, call our office at 818.874.1200 or 805.532.9977 or email Service@CHQS.Com
