Copy Machine Leases are NOT the most important thing in the world says CEO Dan Strull
A local copy machine and print company has made waves, in a positive way, in the Los Angeles community. While others seem to be arguing and debating our current political position, Copier Headquarters has decided to put people ahead of bickering. CEO Dan Strull and his team at CHQS have dedicated time and effort to support Operation Gratitude, a leading “Not for Profit” firm that ships care packages to first responders and deployed forces. We recently sat down with Dan to discuss his projects with Operation Gratitude and why he decided to devote business hours to this cause.
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”22px”][vc_column_text]Dan, what drove you to sacrifice work hours and payroll costs to assist with this charity?
Great question, simple answer. I can get up every morning and go to the gym. My wife and I have wonderful children, our kids can go to great schools, I manage a company that I love, and my daily life is blessed. The freedom and opportunity that I have has been made possible because of the sacrifice of others, the men and women in our military. My family is able to live a wonderful life where we are free to do anything we want because of the bravery of others who put themselves in harm’s way. The LEAST I could do, my company could do, is to dedicate some time and energy to help those in the armed forces and their loved ones.
What is your favorite part about Operation Gratitude?
Doing things for the children of the those serving in our military. Those kids sacrifice more than their parents. I can only imagine how tough that separation is. We participate in a bear building project, stuffing toy bears. The bears are given to the kids of deployed personnel. Imagine a parent knowing that strangers took the time to do something nice for their little one when they weren’t around to do it. It is wonderful. We even involved kids at a local elementary school. They were so excited to do something for other kids, who were going to sleep at night a world away from a parent. Seeing that was heartwarming. I would encourage anyone to get involved in the organization. Do something for someone who can’t thank you, but you know it matters.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”22px”][vc_column_text]
Los Angeles Copy Machine Printing Firm Gives Back
Los Angeles Copy Machine Firm Copier Headquarters is doing something we’ve never heard of before. Dan Strull, CEO of CHQS, must have one of the biggest hearts in the printing and copy machine business. He is URGING his employees to pay for the military and first responders’ food. Sounds harsh on his employees, right? NOT SO FAST. CHQS is ASKING their employees to pay BUT each employee is reimbursed 100%. Thus, allowing the workers of Copier Headquarters to give back to the armed forces and the heroes our of country without having to “eat the bill.” He says the reactions people get are usually humble thanks. It means something to people to be noticed and appreciated.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”22px”][vc_column_text]Dan, what in the world were you thinking?
I want my employees to know how much I care about our military and first responders. I wanted my people to be able to give without hesitation, without a second thought. My wife and I brainstormed and came up with this concept. CHQS will cover employees’ expenses on items like food and coffee for any military or first responder they see out in the community. If somebody is in line for coffee, at a drive-through, and such, and sees one, they can pick up the tab. Anything we can to do give back, we want to do. We want to let these people know that the risks they take and the hardships they face are appreciated, even in a small way. [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”22px”][vc_column_text]
Los Angeles Copy Machine Leasing Firm Might be Copied by its Competitors
Copier Headquarters is also offering Volunteer Time Off, allowing employees to take time off to help charities within their community. Oh yeah, did we forget to mention, THEY ARE PAID DAYS OFF. That is right, Dan Strull and his team at Copier Headquarters might be setting a trend that other copy machine lease firms might just “copy” for themselves. [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”22px”][vc_column_text]Dan, just how Patriotic are you? Where does this come from?
We live in an amazing country. I have so many things to be thankful for. Ultimately, I realized that I am free to do what I do because of the courage and selflessness of others. They risk and sometimes sacrifice their lives. They endure long separations from their loved ones. I felt compelled to respond to that in some way.
I want my children, my family, my employees, and their families, to have the opportunity to give back as well, without worrying about sacrificing family vacation time or pay. If everyone just gives a little, we can make a BIG difference.
Dan, thank you for taking the time to meet with us today. Good luck to you and your company. You are setting a phenomenal example. Other business owners will surely be following your lead.
